FAQs for Your Bridal Hair & Makeup (Preview/Trial & Your Wedding Day)

  • Previews/Trials are the perfect way to view your wedding hair and makeup prior to your Big Day!

Also it allows for me to understand your hair and for us to be on the same page for the wedding day. Previews are highly encouraged, to see if we are a good fit, for what you are looking for, so your wedding day can be fun and stress-free for everyone! Hair and makeup surprises are not what we want on the Day of!

We will preview 1-2 hair styles of your choice and this is where you can try out your veil and accessories. This appointment typically lasts around 2-3 hours with both hair and makeup. Timing will be less if you are choosing only hair or makeup. Previewing additional styles may be available at an additional cost

  • No worries! Changes can be made up to 1 month before the wedding date and so long as the minimum of $1000 is met

  • I highly recommend 100% human hair extensions if you have fine or thin hair and the style desired seems like it has more hair than what you have. We can easily clear up any question about whether or not you need extensions in the consultation.

Clip-ins are an amazing option if you're looking for a temporary & affordable way to achieve your dream look! I recommend: Zala, Bellami & Luxy. I also offer day-of extension rentals!

  • Yes! I sure do and I can do a complementary extension consultation during your Bridal Preview Appointment. Just let me know right away so we can plan!

  • Yes! On your big day, I will travel to the location you are getting ready at so you can relax, enjoy your wedding morning, and get pampered

  • I can comfortably do 6 -8 services. 9-10 services or more, I would bring an additional artist.

FAQs for Makeup

  • Always arrive with your face clean of any makeup, and be mindful to avoid any items over SPF 15-20. SPF is light reflective and creates a lot of shine you don’t want in photos. Moisturizers are best if applied at least 1 hour prior, to allow the skin time to absorb and cut back on oil production.

  • Absolutely love them and completely recommend so your skin is radiant, smooth and supple. I would recommend doing a couple facials well before your big day to avoid any breakouts and irritations.

Avoid any aggressive facial treatments or procedures before your makeup application. Aggressive treatments or products that are too active may result in uneven skin tone, texture and/or dryness that will interfere with your makeup’s performance and appearance. Typically, it'll take about 10-14 days for skin to get back to its optimum texture after any sort of facial treatment for an even, beautiful makeup application.

  • I am all about it! I recommend doing a test run with a spray tan well in advance of your wedding day so you can make any necessary adjustments.

  • Do not have your brows waxed less than three days prior to the wedding. We love a fluffy natural brow, but if you plan on having them waxed or threaded, we suggest making your appointment no less than three days before the wedding so your skin is without any residual redness or irritation and in the best possible condition for your makeup application.

  • You don’t have to bring anything to your makeup appointment however I recommend bringing your lip color that you will be touching up with later. Lastly if you can, bring waterproof mascara as the wand is better to use than a disposable one. Then bring any favorites you love like foundation or specific shadow colors. Again these things aren’t necessary however totally welcome. The biggy is your lip color for later. Let me know if you need any recommendations.

FAQs for Special Occasion Hair

  • Having clean hair is preferred. Wash as you normally would the day before. I recommend not doing any deep conditioning treatments. Save that for your after bridal hair care.

  • Me too! AND let’s connect if you are wanting to do this prior to your wedding day. Most laikely you will want to wait until after your wedding. Best case scenario

Final Things to Consider

  • Avoid strap indents/marks on your chest/back by wearing a strapless bra, or even no bra at all. Same goes for sock marks, for those wearing anything that may expose the ankle!

  • Don’t forget your body! Remember to exfoliate in the days leading up to the wedding (especially if you’re getting a spray tan) and moisturize your body well on the day of, particularly hands, feet, knees and elbows since they are often in images.

  • Allow your beauty to shine from the inside out. Drinking ample water will help promote a healthy glow to the skin, while limiting sugar and salt at least one week prior to the wedding, and cutting dairy intake completely at least two weeks prior to the wedding, will help keep breakouts and bloating to a minimum
